Thank you everyone for voting in the SYPE Saskatoon 2015 Vote! And a special thank you to all the candidates for volunteering their time to be on the board.

We would like to congratulate the following individuals for being new members on the Board:

Amy Gill - Amy comes to us from Toronto where she worked in marketing and development for a little car company called Porsche. She played a fundamental role in developing the Porsche luxury brand in Canada and was successful in driving revenue for both local and national automotive dealers by introducing digital products and customer acquisition strategies. A self-proclaimed vegetarian foodie, Amy's interests range from science, tech, fashion, non-profits and youth initiatives. An avid traveler, she's lived in Australia and India while finishing her Bachelor of Arts, with a minor in Biomedical Sciences, at York University.

Kyle Drever - I grew up in Saskatoon for the school year and the summers were spent, like any good Saskie kid, enjoying the lake life.  Many influences from my childhood lead me to choose the path of Chemical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan, where I not only dedicated my time to my studies, but also volunteered for Engineers Without Borders and as a referee for Campus Rec.
After graduating with my Bachelors in Chemical Engineering in 2007, I followed the migration of my class to Alberta, where I worked as a process consulting engineer for an environmental/process consulting firm called Sulphur Experts. The life of a consultant can be glamorous and horrendous, as many who have worked in the field can attest. I traveled all over the world, worked with many cultures and climates, saw the sights/sites, solved their problems and flew off into the sunset (Consulting Cowboy).
In 2013, I decided it was time to deepen my understanding of the business behind... well, business, so I went back to school for an MBA. Through many events which worked in my favour, I ended up at Queen's University and I did not regret my time there in the least. In addition to my Masters studies:
With an MBA in hand and a new-found love for the entrepreneur scene, I have returned to Saskatoon and found a group of people with my similar feelings toward new ventures, start-ups and entrepreneurship. The energy, excitement and dedication from this group called SYPE has inspired me to run for the board and I will give it my all to live up to the high standard the current board has set.

We also want to congratulation Joe Gill and Ian Braaten for their successful renewal! We look forward to their valuable contribution in their 2nd term on the SYPE Saskatoon Board.
